Nexio Board Appoints Mickey Mashale as Interim Acting Chief Executive Officer

Johannesburg – South Africa’s leading digital system aggregator and solution provider, Nexio today announced the appointment of Mickey Mashale as Interim Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from Tuesday, 17 March 2020.  

Mickey who will be reporting directly to the Nexio Board joins the organisation from Vodacom where she held the position of Chief Sales Officer for Vodacom Business since February 2018. She will be leading a strong team tasked with driving the company’s digital transformation strategy to greater heights.

Commenting on the announcement, Nexio’s Head of Human Resources xxx said: “We are delighted to announce Mickey’s appointment as the interim acting Chief Officer of Nexio. Mickey is recognised as one of the industry’s distinguished business and women thought leaders. She brings to the organisation a range of industry experience that will be beneficial to the company, employees, stakeholders and it’s customers.”

Mickey was previously the Managing Executive & Head of Region for Vodafone Global Enterprise and was responsible for strategy, revenue retention, growth and expansion of Vodafone customers, for the Southern African Region. Under her leadership, the department was awarded the Best Performing Segment in the Vodacom Group Enterprise Business.

The interim acting CEO for Nexio says: “I look forward to taking up the position at such an exciting time where the company is on a digital journey to enable and transform it’s customer experience as a trusted IT partner for the digital future.”

Mickey is a member of the IoDSA (International Institute of Directors South Africa) and is an MBA Graduate from Wits Business School. She graduated from the University of Natal with a Bachelor of Science and she also obtained a number of diplomas in Telecommunications & Marketing from Wits Business School; P&DM, Institute of Marketing Management, AAA School of Advertising and Varsity College.
